FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions:
If you have a question that's not answered here please email us.

-I'd like to participate in the campaign, what should I do first?

1. Read the Primer for the campaign and the phase document for the current phase (the schedule's in the primer).
2. From the faction goals that are listed in the phase document, create your own narrative objective for you to play out over the course of 2+ linked games.
3. Play out the games, take some pictures, and most of all: have fun.
4. Fill out an operation report and send it to us.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 for the duration of the campaign.
That's all there is to it, easy! Your results will be counted and will help decide the outcome of the campaign.

-Can I submit something to the campaign more than the basic operation report?

Yes! If you've got to scratch any creative itches (that we're hoping to stimulate), please do so. Take amazing photos of your battles, write a more in-depth story for your army's operation, or write in-depth analysis of your tactics & lessons learned, whatever excites you about the game, even if I didn't mention it here. We will spotlight the efforts of those who go above & beyond on the site to help inspire everyone else in campaign.

Can I play different armies through the campaign or do I have to commit to one?

You can play whichever army you like, as long as it matches the narrative goals that you set for the operation report you're currently playing for. Who plays what army is a decision you can make to maximize your fun: Tired of marines? Swap armies for a battle; or think of a new narrative & play different armies. Submit as many operation reports as you can for every phase, your results will shape the narrative for next phase!
